A Flydubai co-pilot has been accused of attacking the captain with an axe on an Israel-bound flight. According to a UAE official, the co-pilot used a crash axe to attack the pilot inside the cockpit and attempted to take control of the aircraft. This incident has been described as an attempted terrorist act by the UAE prosecutor general. The accused co-pilot has been named as Hamam al-Hammami by several media outlets.
